National Housing Bank (NHB) together with Asia Pacific Union for Housing Finance (APUHF) announces the Annual International Conference to be held during January 29 – February 01, 2012 at the Hotel Imperial, New Delhi, India. The theme of the conference is “Growth with stability in the Affordable Housing Market”.

The conference will deliberate on a wide range of global issues that the mortgage industry faced during the recent past. These inter alia include:

  1. Affordability issues in emerging markets
  2. Affordable mass housing
  3. Supply side growth and its impact on stability
  4. Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in housing supply
  5. Trends and development in Retail Housing Market
  6. Housing solutions for informal sector borrowers
  7. Comparative models in different mortgage markets
  8. Regulatory Issues
  9. Need for Research, data analysis for orderly growth of housing finance market etc.

The above topics are illustrative.

The resource persons for the conference will include international experts, drawn from different fields dealing with various aspects of housing and housing finance.

Participants will have the choice of registering online through the web-site of NHB (http://www.nhb.org.in) as also through APUHF web-site (http://www.apuhf.info ).

Participation fee for international participants is USD 250 and for Indian participants INR 10,000/- which includes lunch and refreshments during the programme, materials and site seeing trip (for international participants). Airfare and hotel accommodation charges will be borne by the participants and/or participating institutions and paid directly. Details about Hotel Imperial, New Delhi and some of the other hotels in the vicinity of the Conference venue are available on NHB as well as APUHF website.

January is a pleasant time to be in the capital of India (The minimum and maximum temperature ranges between 10oC and 30oC during this period).

The tentative Conference schedule will shortly be uploaded on NHB and APUHF website.
