Brief Profile of Smt. Kavitha Padmanabhan
Smt. Kavitha Padmanabhan completed her B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College in 2002. She served for 2 years in the private sector as a Business Development Executive with Tata Telecom Limited (a Tata and Avaya Company) at Chennai.
She joined the Indian Administrative Service in the year 2006. She was adjudged the best Probationer from the Northeast Cadre and awarded with the L.V. Reddy Memorial Award in LBSNAA, Mussoorie. She has served in various parts of Assam with varied experience viz. SDO (Civil), Titabor, Jorhat, ADC, Tinsukia, CEO, Zila Parishad, Tinsukia, Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon. She has also served on deputation in Government of India as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training and Director in PMO. She is currently serving as Commissioner & Secretary of the Department of Housing & Urban Affairs since November 2021.
